Republican politician Herman Cain would eliminate U.S. capital gains taxes

Herman Cain, a contender for the Republican nomination for the 2012 U.S. presidential election, wants to eliminate the capital gains tax, according to Fox News.

In a Fox News blog, Cain is quoted as saying "We've got to take the capital gains tax rate to zero, not cut it, or trim it, take it to zero."

Cain gave Fox a sneak preview into his economic vision.

Cain is former CEO of Godfather's Pizza and worked as an IT analyst for Coca-Cola and as a civilian employee of the U.S. Navy.

According to Fox, Cain is at third place in the polls, behind Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann.
